Film scoring course

Learn film scoring. To picture, for real.

One-on-one lessons with a composer who worked on Disney and Netflix scoring teams – live, online, in your own DAW. Not a video course, not a cohort: ten lessons, ending in a finished cue to picture.

Why 1:1

Most courses teach about scoring. This is scoring.

Recorded courses show you someone else's cue. Here you write your own, and someone who has sat in the real rooms tells you what's working, what isn't, and what a music editor would say about your bar 17. Each level is a block of ten one-on-one lessons of 60 minutes with a fixed goal: Level 1 ends with a scored 30-second clip; then orchestral colors, harmony and emotion; Level 4 ends with a finished, mixed cue to picture. The whole path is public – every step, before you pay for any of it.

You work in your own DAW – Logic Pro or Ableton Live – with orchestral libraries, the way scores are actually written today. Reading notation helps; it isn't required.

The world behind it

Three crafts. One world.

Film scoring is one of this world's three continents – the deep end. Spin it, and see where the path leads.

Straight answers

Before you ask.

What does it cost?

A level – ten one-on-one lessons of 60 minutes – costs $ 1159. A trial lesson is $ 99. You can pay in CHF, EUR or USD; music education is VAT-exempt in Switzerland, so nothing is added at checkout. No subscription.

I've never scored anything – can I start?

Yes. Level 1 starts with your first scored clip and assumes nothing. If you already write music, the trial lesson is where we listen to it – and start at the level where it actually continues.

Do I need expensive orchestral libraries?

Not to start. We begin with what you have and talk honestly about what's worth adding when your cues actually need it – craft first, shopping later.

How do the lessons work?

Live online, on dedicated music-teaching software with studio-grade audio – the teacher hears your actual session, not a screen recording. The booking calendar shows available times in your time zone. And if you're nearby: the studio in Weinfelden, Switzerland is a real place.

The next step

One trial lesson says more than this page.

$ 99, 60 minutes, online, one to one. If it's not a fit, you'll know – and so will we.
