The school I wish had existed. So I built it.
I'm Andreas. When I was the age of most of my students, I wanted to make my own music – not just practice someone else's. In Switzerland, back then, there was no place to learn that. The nearest thing to it turned out to be an ocean away: film scoring in Hollywood, on the music teams behind Disney park shows and Netflix series. House of Beats is the school I looked for and couldn't find. Wherever you are – a first beat, a half-finished song, three years deep into producing – that's where we start. And knowing the deep end means there's no ceiling on how far we take it. It doesn't look much like a school. That's the point.

You came to make beats – so why does Hollywood matter? Because the person teaching your first loop spent years in the engine room of other people's music: orchestrating and coordinating scores for Disney park shows, film and television. Supporting roles, real craft – and nothing a beginner learns here is more than a few steps from it. Here's the public record.
Music degree. Industry hours. Real work.
Film scoring at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, with extensive background in classical music, film, pop, jazz, and blues. My fastest instrument is the computer – DAW, samples, compressors, EQs, effects and a pair of digital scissors – I'm also a fairly capable guitar player.
Outside the film world, I've produced and written for independent hip-hop, pop and folk artists, and I've played live on a regular basis for years. What I teach isn't theory I left behind in LA – it's the work I'm still doing.
Now I'm running a studio in Weinfelden, Switzerland, coaching the craft I came home with.
