Your child already makes music – on a laptop, on an iPad, in headphones after school. We turn that into a craft. Each level is a sequenced block of ten one-on-one lessons of 60 minutes, ending in a finished piece of music you will actually hear: a produced beat, a complete song, a scored film scene. Not exercises – finished work.
Levels 1–4 of each track are open today; the full path runs to Level 12. The entire lesson plan is public – you can read every step of every level before you pay for any of it.

Andreas Kyburz trained at Musicians Institute in Hollywood – Bachelor of Music in Composition for Visual Media, Cum Laude – and worked on scoring teams for Disney, Netflix and Hulu productions. Your child learns from someone who practised the craft at the industry's deepest end, and now teaches one student at a time, in the student's own software (Logic Pro or Ableton Live). We take a limited number of students – one teacher, real attention. That's not a countdown; it's how the studio works.
The school I wish had existed. So I built it.
I'm Andreas. When I was the age of most of my students, I wanted to make my own music – not just practise someone else's. There was no place to learn that; the nearest thing turned out to be an ocean away, in Hollywood's scoring rooms. House of Beats is the school I looked for and couldn't find – built so your child doesn't have to cross an ocean to find it.

Lessons are taught live from our studio in Weinfelden, Switzerland – a real place, with an address you can visit. Students join from wherever they are: the booking calendar shows our available times in your time zone, so you only ever see slots that fit your family's day.
Lesson times are set in your local time and stay there. When Europe changes its clocks, your child's Thursday 4pm stays Thursday 4pm.
You see everything.
You pay; they make music. You get your own parent access: the schedule, the lesson plan, the teacher's note after every session, and each piece your child hands in – readable any time, without hovering over their shoulder. Invoices come to you. Your child never sees a price.
Published work, protected identity.
When a piece is finished, your child can publish it on the school's own radio – under a stage name, never their real one, and only with your written consent, which you can revoke at any time. No likes, no followers, no comments. A portfolio, not a social network.

Isn't this just more screen time?
It's the same screen, doing the opposite thing. Watching is consumption; producing is hours of focused making – rhythm, harmony, arrangement, mixing – with something finished at the end. Music schools across Europe now teach production as an instrument in its own right. We've simply been doing it one-on-one, at depth.
Shouldn't they learn piano first?
Production is musicianship: ear training, rhythm, harmony and arrangement, learned through the instrument your child already reaches for. It's taught here by a formally trained composer, not a software tutor. And if your child later wants piano lessons, production will have given them a reason.
Do online lessons actually work for this?
Better than for most subjects – the music already lives on the computer. Lessons run on dedicated music-teaching software, not a generic video call: studio-grade audio, the teacher hears the actual project, and your child doesn't need an account. The trial lesson exists so you can judge the quality with your own ears instead of taking our word for it.
Will they stick with it?
The honest answer: we don't know yet – and neither do you. That's why everything here is built around finishing. Every block of ten lessons ends with a real, completed piece. There is no subscription. If your child stops after one level, they leave with something finished, not with a half-used membership.
What does it cost?
A level – ten one-on-one lessons of 60 minutes – costs $ 1159: the exact price you'll see at checkout. A trial lesson is $ 99. You can pay in CHF, EUR or USD. Music education is VAT-exempt in Switzerland, so nothing is added at checkout: the price you see is the price you pay. The cancellation rules are written down and you read them before you pay.
Who is my child alone with, online?
A teacher with a public, verifiable record – the credits are on IMDb, the studio is a registered Swiss business at a real address. Every session is logged in your parent portal, and the teacher's note after each lesson is written to be read by you. Nothing about this relationship happens out of your sight.
What age can you start?
From about nine. Below that we look at the individual case – when a younger kid is clearly ready, we'd rather say yes than point at a birthday.
Do they need any experience?
None. Every track starts at Level 1 and is built for complete beginners – first loop, first song, first cue. And if your child already makes music, the trial lesson is where we hear it: together we'll decide whether starting at a higher level makes more sense.
